- The Smithsonian American Art Museum wants your help to curate an upcoming exhibition. The Art of Video Games is scheduled to open in 2012 and will "explore the 40-year evolution of video games as an artistic medium, with a focus on striking visual effects, the creative use of new technologies, and the most influential artists and designers." Now through April 7, 2011, video game fans can vote (on over 240 game choices in various categories divided by era, game type, and platform) to decide which games will be included in the exhibition. - This week for Valentine's Day, Kaid Benfield, the NRDC's chief talking head on sustainable cityscapes asked, "what do the world's most romantic destinations have in common?" Among the many factors was, a "unique sense of place anchored by historic preservation." [Switchboard via GOOD]
- A new airline, LV Air, wants to increase traffic between the Big Apple and Sin City. The service will be chartered by Vision Airlines, who is hoping to see enough demand to run four flights a day. With rumored luxury amenities like seat-to-seat texting, iPads, and mood lighting, that may not be a problem. [Jaunted]
